Speakers

Dr. Jared Compton

Jared serves as associate professor of New Testament Theology and Biblical Theology at Bethlehem College and Seminary, a post he took up in 2020. Before coming to Bethlehem, Jared served as pastor for discipleship and pastoral-training at CrossWay Community Church (Bristol, WI) and assistant professor of New Testament at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (Allen Park, MI). Jared received his Ph.D. in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School under the supervision of D. A. Carson.

Jared loves teaching and preaching the Bible and training others to do the same. He loves thinking and talking about how the Bible fits together and how we fit into the Bible’s big story. Jared’s written articles and reviews for several publications and published three books, most recently Biblical Theology according to the Apostles: How the Earliest Christians Told Israel’s Story (IVP, 2020), a book he wrote with two of his childhood friends. He’s served on the editorial board for Themelios and Trinity Journal and is presently a member of ETS & IBR. Best of all, he’s been a Christian for 30 years, married to his best friend Charisse for over 20 years, and has been telling dad jokes for 18 years. Jared, Charisse, and their three children—Asher, Jude, and Haven—live in Arden Hills and are members of The North Church.

Pastor Jonathan and Chelsea Moseley

Jonathan Moseley has been the Lead Pastor for King's Hill Church over the past seven years. He felt the call to Boston in 2012 and moved up from Georgia with a love for the city and a passion to see Jesus made much of. Along the way, he completed his MDiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Chelsea. Together, they have four girls. As a family, what they want more than anything else is to see people experience the joy that comes from finding and following Jesus.

Pastor Jaime Owens

Jaime grew up in small-town Massachusetts. Having grown up a nominal Roman Catholic, Jaime had little interest in God beyond maintaining a veneer of morality, which he often cast off at his own convenience. By God’s grace, while in college, Jaime was born again while hearing a sermon on Luke 15. Upon graduation, Jaime served as a police officer, but after three years, though he loved the work, he resigned and moved to Louisville, Kentucky to pursue a Master of Divinity. During his studies, he met Dr. Mark Dever, Senior Pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, and moved to Washington, DC to intern and serve on staff as the Assistant to the Senior Pastor for the next two years. After this time, he moved to Providence, RI and served as Associate Pastor at Grace Harbor Church for the next year and a half. Jaime was called to be Senior Pastor of Tremont Temple in April of 2017.

He is married to Adriana and is daddy to Mercy, Audrey, Jack, and Noah. Jaime holds a B.S. from Bridgewater State University in Criminal Justice, an M.Div from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Th.M with a focus on preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jaime’s interests outside of ministry include fishing trips with the kids, a bit of surfing, daily hand grinding his coffee beans and pour overs in his Kalita Wave 185, suffering through marathons, and short family adventures.

A lifelong learner, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (University of Southern Mississippi), a Master of Divinity (Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), a Master of Theology (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary), and he’s currently working towards a PhD in Applied Theology (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary). He and his wife, Sasha, have been married for 15 years and have six children. As a family, they enjoy reading books, going to the beach, and playing baseball. Committed to educating their children and equipping future leaders, the Van Sickles co-founded Providence Classical Academy. Jacob serves on the school’s board and volunteers as an admin.

In addition to his pastoral work, Jacob teaches in partnership with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master’s in Theological Studies with a focus on church planting. Through their Contextualized Leadership Development program, Jacob teaches courses such as Ethics, Doctrine I and II, Missiology, and Hermeneutics within a local church context.

Pastor Jordan Brown

Jordan grew up in Colchester, CT and his life forever changed when he became a Christian. The good news of Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross and resurrection from the grave has brought him hope, purpose, and clarity. Jordan has an overwhelming desire to see gospel preaching churches raised and renewed throughout New England. He is a graduate of Cedarville University (2013) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2020). He is married to Rachel and they have three daughters: Maeve, Isla, and Shae.
